Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

FTR ST8 B.V. (KvK 98243128) is a venture studio based in the Netherlands and the controller of the personal data described in this policy — referred to in this policy as FTR ST8. We believe privacy policies should be readable, so this one is written in plain English. For any privacy matter, you can reach us at hello@ftrst8.com.

2. What data we collect

We only collect what you actively give us, plus the minimal technical data any website generates:

• Form submissions — when you use our pitch form, enterprise innovation form, or contact form, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, company, and the content of your message or application.
• Server logs — our hosting infrastructure automatically records standard technical data such as IP addresses and request metadata, used solely to keep the website secure and running.

3. Why we use it

We use your data to respond to your enquiry, evaluate venture pitches and enterprise innovation requests, and follow up on conversations you start with us. Our legal basis under the GDPR is our legitimate interest in responding to messages you choose to send us and in running our studio — and, where your enquiry is a step towards working together, the need to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We never use your data for purposes unrelated to your enquiry.

4. Where your data goes

Form submissions are delivered to our team’s mailbox by email through our email service provider, Resend, and may additionally be stored in our CRM and back-office tooling so the right person on our team can pick them up. These providers process data on our behalf and under our instructions, and where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we make sure the safeguards required by the GDPR are in place. If you book a call with us, scheduling is handled by Fantastical, a third-party booking tool that processes your data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell your personal data — not to anyone, not ever.

5. How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for 12 months from the date you send them. If a business relationship follows — for example, we start building a venture together or begin an enterprise engagement — we keep the relevant data for as long as that relationship and applicable legal obligations require. Data we no longer need is deleted.

6. Your rights under the GDPR

You are in control of your data. Under the GDPR you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected (rectification);
• have your data deleted (erasure);
• restrict how we process your data;
• receive your data in a portable format (data portability);
• object to our processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ftrst8.com and we will respond promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

7. Cookies and tracking

We do not set tracking or analytics cookies on this website. Browsing ftrst8.com does not require you to accept anything, and we do not follow you around the internet. Third-party services you choose to use — such as the Fantastical booking tool or external venture websites we link to — may set their own cookies under their own policies.

8. How we protect your data

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data — including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the people who need it, and reputable, security-conscious providers for our hosting, email delivery, and back-office tooling. No system is perfectly secure, but we take the protection of your data seriously and review our measures as our studio grows.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, tooling, or legal obligations change. The current version is always available on this page, with the date of the latest update shown at the top. For significant changes, we will make the update clearly visible.
